Today, we're going to take a look at the Taylor Made 10 inch long stainless steel gas shock. Now this gas shock is designed to replace a worn out or damaged shock that's on your boat hatch. It is a stainless steel construction, so it does provide maximum corrosion resistance. So it is part-perfect for any high saltwater areas. It does easily install in minutes. There's no special tools required.
And when you do install this, it is always recommended to install this with the rod portion facing down. And also it is recommended to replace these gas shocks in pairs. The connection type on the shock is a removable 10 millimeter ball socket. And the way install it, let me sort of zoom in here just so I can show you a little detail on this, but on the end caps, there's a cap on top. And if you just pull up on that cap, and that cap will come out, I'll just let you pull it all the way up to release the tension on those four clamps in there, push it down on the ball socket, and then push that cap back down and it'll latch it to the ball socket. So very simple installation.
The length on this again, as measured from the center of this ball socket to the center of that ball socket. So if we put a ruler on that, you're looking at it 10 inches and the output force on this is 20 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Taylor Made 10 inch long stainless steel gas shock.
